The Isle of Man is a unique place with its own rich traditions. It is self-governing with its own surviving language and its own distinctive Manx flag, along with many attractions to explore by the coast and inland.
Our week here on our 'Nostalgic Little Trains' tour includes travel on local heritage railways, starting on the Manx Electric Railway; a scenic trip to the Laxey Wheel, the largest working waterwheel in the world. A second electric railway takes us right to the summit of Snaefell Mountain. We also enjoy a trip on the Isle of Man Steam railway, taking us into our base at Douglas. Other free excursions include the fishing village of Peel, home to Manx kippers as well as the red sandstone of Peel Castle. We also visit the seaside town of Castletown and Cregneash Folk Village where the local dialect is spoken.
As with all our tours, all travel, excursions and entrance fees are included. Just relax and enjoy your trip on the Isle of Man, just a short easy hop from the UK.
