Various pick up points over the country.
The stunning coastline that stretches west along France’s Cote d’Azur and over the border into Italy and its Riviera is undoubtedly one of the most glamorous holiday destinations on the planet: a millionaire’s playground of glittering marinas, clifftop villas and exclusive resorts.
Day One - We begin our journey
We catch the ferry from Dover to Calais and make our way to our overnight bed and breakfast stop in the Dijon area of France.
Day Two - Diano Marina and check in
We cross the border into Italy and travel on to our hotel in the resort of Diano Marina, to arrive in time for dinner.
Day Three - Monaco and Monte Carlo
We head to the tiny principality of Monaco, home to the historic casino, famous residential area of Monte Carlo and many rich and famous residents.
Monaco is less than a square mile in size but more than makes up for it in glitz and glamour, with a bustling marina, beautiful royal palace and fantastic shops. We see the best of it with a guided tour.
Day Four - Leisure day
We enjoy a day of leisure in our resort, where it’s market day if you want to stock up on souvenirs.
Day Five - Grasse, the Fragonard perfume factory and Nice
To France’s Cote d’Azur today. We visit the Fragonard factory in the famous perfume town of Grasse to sample the lovely scents of this historic fragrance house.
We then head to the vibrant seaside city of Nice, perhaps exploring the winding streets of the picturesque Old Town or strolling along the wide, palm-lined promenade.
Day Six - Cruise to Portofino
We join a boat trip from Santa Margherita Ligure, a lovely port town with a castle and 13th century basilica, to the Italian’s most sophisticated resort, Portofino.
Famed for its busy, picturesque harbour crammed with expensive yachts, we spend some time here before returning to Santa Margherita.
Day Seven - Checking out
We leave Italy behind and travel to our overnight stop in the Dijon area of France on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day Eight - Homewards
We continue our journey, heading to Calais to catch the ferry to Dover and then home.
