Optional Excursion

Rochester & Canterbury – £10pp (full day)

On our optional excursion we head first to Rochester. Boasting ancient buildings including an imposing castle and lovely cathedral, the town was also a favourite of Charles Dickens who based many of his novels in the area. We then continue on to the historic city of Canterbury, home to the oldest cathedral in England, dating back to Norman times. There is plenty to explore within the city’s medieval walls, from quaint cobbled lanes and timber-framed buildings to a bustling shopping centre and riverside walks.
