Itinerary

Ferry to Calais and continue to our hotel in De Panne.

Enjoy a day of leisure relaxing at the hotel and exploring vibrant De Panne with its nostalgic attractions and sandy beaches. Saturday is market day too – the perfect chance to grab a few bargains and souvenirs or try some local produce!

For our optional excursion we make our way to Ostend, Belgium’s premier coastal resort, which dates back to the 9th century when it was a small fishing village. Now known as ‘the City by the Sea’, Ostend is a cosmopolitan gem that boasts miles of sandy beaches, a beachfront promenade, a yachting marina plus a whole host of shops, bars and restaurants. The city is also home to several museums, such as the Mu.ZEE, which showcases Belgian art, and the Atlantic Wall Museum, offering insights into the region's World War II history.

This morning we check out of the hotel, stopping at Dunkirk for some free time before heading back to Calais for our return ferry home.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
