Today, we take part in a fully guided tour to explore the legendary Waterloo Battlefield, where the fate of Europe was decided on 18th June 1815 in one of history’s most iconic confrontations. This was the final defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte, where over 250,000 soldiers from across Europe clashed in a momentous struggle. Our visit begins at the Lion’s Mound, a striking memorial offering panoramic views over the battlefield, before entering the circular Panorama building to see the vast 19th-century painting that vividly captures the chaos and heroism of the day. We then delve deeper at the interactive museum, where immersive multimedia displays, a gripping 3D film, authentic uniforms, weaponry and detailed maps bring the story of Waterloo to life.
