Ride The Flying Scotsman In Classic Cambridge Exclusively This September

Day 1:
From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to our hotel, arriving in time for dinner and the first of two nights’ stay.

Day 2:
Following breakfast at the hotel, we head to Wansford where we board our train behind the magnificent locomotive Flying Scotsman for a picturesque, steam hauled round trip journey on the Nene Valley Railway to Peterborough. With a journey time of approximately 70 minutes, we’ll travel along the beautiful Nene Valley, through a picturesque landscape of water meadows, arable farmland and a country park. The railway has featured in many films and TV series including the James Bond films Octopussy and Goldeneye. The train will convey a buffet car with a fully stocked licensed bar selling hot and cold drinks and light refreshments. Later, we return to the hotel where we enjoy dinner together.

Day 3:
After checking out of the hotel we board the coach and head for home, stopping en-route in Cambridge where we have free time to explore at leisure. This fascinating university city is full of beautiful architecture, leafy green meadows and majestic college buildings, the most famous being King’s College Chapel on the banks of the River Cam.
