We’ve teamed up with Just Go! Holidays to create a collection of nationwide historic breaks. With tailored itineraries and special rates for English Heritage Members, the breaks offer you an opportunity to discover historic houses, castles and gardens in parts of the country not on your doorstep, or a convenient way to return to some of your favourite places.

This new series of handpicked group breaks is perfect for those of us who enjoy exploring England’s unbeatable heritage in style and comfort. From the sub-tropical Isles of Scilly to the windswept Hadrian’s Wall, and from the east coast to the borders in the west, these breaks cover the length and breadth of the country.

They also span thousands of years of English history. You can visit Roman Britain and stand on the edge of an empire, walk the walls of a medieval castle, find out what it took to run a Victorian country house, or discover the secrets of the Second World War.

Each break features visits to a variety of historic properties, hotel accommodation and travel on comfortable coaches. Most of them are English Heritage sites, but there are other places which are not part of the portfolio. You will have time to wander the streets of picture-postcard towns and villages and opportunities to hear from expert historians as you immerse yourselves in the story of England.
