Itinerary

Following a leisurely breakfast, we head to the centre of Aberdeen for some time at leisure. This thriving seaport boasts sparkling granite buildings and monuments, making it one of the most architecturally distinctive cities in Europe. There's much to explore, from the cobbled streets and 15th-century cathedral of Old Aberdeen to the quirky fishing quarter of Footdee by the water's edge. Watch the boats bobbing in the bustling harbour and listen to the warm tones of the local Scots dialect called 'Doric.' You can also go on a shopping spree along Union Street, which is one mile long and dotted with many shops. On the way back to the hotel, we enjoy a photo stop at Torry Battery viewpoint, offering a wonderful panorama of Aberdeen and even the chance to spot dolphins!

We follow in the footsteps of William and Kate, Prince and Princess of Wales in the pretty town of St Andrews, where the young royals met at university. As well as being a world-class golfing spot, there are plenty of other highlights, from stunning beaches and fascinating museums to a crumbling castle and an ancient cathedral, offering a glimpse into the town's medieval past. With its traditional Scottish architecture and charming streets lined with quaint shops and cafés, it really is a delight to explore.

We spend some free time in the lovely city of Edinburgh. From the picturesque sights of the Old Town, the iconic castle perched high above the city to the sprawl of attractions on the Royal Mile and the grandeur of George Street, with its many boutique shops, cafés and restaurants, there’s a wealth of things to do. Or why not travel back in time aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia? Step inside and explore the five decks of Queen Elizabeth II’s former yacht, once serving as an ideal location for state visits, official receptions, Royal honeymoons and family vacations.
