We request the pleasure of your company at the spectacular Victorian-themed Christmas fayre in historic Worcester! With glittering lights and traditional stalls lining the streets, this Christmas market trip is a wonderful way to get into the festive spirit, featuring costumed stallholders selling seasonal treats such as chocolate-filled crepes and warm roasted chestnuts, plus unique gifts for the whole family. We also enjoy time in Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of literary legend William Shakespeare and with a magical atmosphere at this special time of year.

Highlights

  • Return coach travel
  • Overnight stay at a selected hotel (JG3 or JG4 rating) with breakfast
  • En-route visits to Worcester Christmas Market & Stratford-upon-Avon

Itinerary

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel to Worcester to visit the Christmas market. Known for its exquisite Royal Worcester porcelain and magnificent cathedral, this historic city transforms at Christmastime when shopholders and entertainers in period garb take us back in time to drink in the atmosphere of a classic Victorian Christmas market where all manner of traditional gift ideas and delicious food is on offer. Later we travel to our hotel for our overnight stay.

En route home, we visit Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of the Bard. Fans of Shakespeare can visit the house in which he was born or discover the town’s theatres including the Swan Theatre, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as take the opportunity to wander the beautiful riverside gardens. We re-join the coach in the mid-afternoon for our journey home.

Accommodation

We’ll stay at a well-appointed hotel (JG3 or JG4 rating). All rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant.

Your hotel will be confirmed approximately 3 weeks before departure, therefore we cannot guarantee that the hotel will have a lift and/or ground floor rooms and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Accommodation in our JG4 category is of an even higher standard, typically offering a wide range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible and the staff provide a service that reflects the detail and quality. You can also expect higher standards of food and beverages.
