Itinerary

From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight and travel onwards to our hotel.

On our delightful excursion, we head first to the island’s bustling capital, Newport. This lovely town centres on two squares with elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture surrounding them: take the chance to explore the historic quayside or browse the selection of specialty shops here. We continue on to the seaside resort of Ryde with its long stretch of golden sand, pretty esplanade, marina and beautiful gardens.

Our optional excursion takes in some of the Isle of Wight's highlights, beginning with the Needles. We stop to admire the magnificent views of the legendary towering rocks which rise up from the sea to form the postcard picture of the island. Next is the historic port town of Yarmouth, boasting some of the oldest architecture on the island including a 16th-century castle, and then Cowes, home to the world-famous regatta. Many of the town’s ornate buildings date from Queen Victoria’s time and are in the style popularised by her consort Prince Albert. It's a lovely place to enjoy a stroll or a treat in one of the cafés!

After breakfast we check out of the hotel and make our way home.
