Itinerary

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to our hotel. After check-in, we head into London for the spectacular Christmas at Kew event, where we are welcomed by an enchanting world festooned with seasonal cheer. With unique tree canopies drenched in Christmas colour, strolling along the world-famous gardens is a magical after-dark experience. There's a special Light Trail, the chance for photos, along with mulled wine or hot chocolate, while you gather around the fire to toast your own marshmallows. Don’t forget to have a browse through Kew’s beautiful range of products, including food, homeware, stationery, perfect gifts and stocking fillers. Afterwards, the coach takes us to our hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre. Here we delve into an array of festive delights, including seasonal food and drink stalls, live entertainment and unique crafts perfect for holiday shopping. Enjoy a warm and joyful atmosphere, surrounded by the historic charm of the palace grounds, while indulging in treats like mulled wine and roasted chestnuts. There's also the chance to explore inside Hampton Court Palace, for a dive into the fascinating world of the Tudor court. We see Henry VIII’s Great Hall, which still houses Anne Boleyn’s falcon badge and the Tudor kitchens, with time for a stroll around the enchanting riverside gardens, blossoming with flowers and grand Yew tree avenues. We depart for home in the mid-afternoon.

Accommodation

We’ll stay at a well-appointed hotel outside London (JG3 or JG4 rating). The comfortable rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Accommodation in our JG4 category is of an even higher standard, typically offering a wide range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible and the staff provide a service that reflects the detail and quality. You can also expect higher standards of food and beverages.
