Itinerary

Head to Mosta in the very heart of Malta, a popular market town with its magnificent domed church, which still bears the scars from the WWI bombing campaign on the island. Then step into a world of beauty and serenity, with the option to visit the Blue Grotto (weather permitting – boat price not included) and the nearby complex of sea caves located on the Southern coast of Malta. Named Blue Grotto for its bright blue waters, the beauty of these caves is most evident when the sun shines down and reflects off the seabed, creating a magical azure. Later, with the help of our guide, you'll explore Malta’s unspoilt villages, where you'll be led through a maze of winding, narrow streets, each with a story to tell. Next, visit Mdina, known as the ‘Silent City’. Discover an extraordinary blend of baroque and medieval history, evident in its stunning buildings, enchanting palaces, and winding, narrow streets. Escape to a bygone world, far from the modern age and explore Saint John’s Bastion and Saint Martin’s Bastion with viewpoints of the glorious surrounding countryside. There’s also the splendid Cathedral of Saint Paul, with its luxurious décor of marble floors and awe-inspiring ceiling paintings, where you can wander through the various chapels of spectacular artworks. There's a visit to Rabat, once an ancient Roman city, and further highlights include an optional visit to the Catacombs (entrance not included) and to Ta' Qali crafts village.

Take a walking tour to discover the capital’s main attractions, beautiful UNESCO-listed Valletta, a harbour city with a wealth of elegant 16th-century buildings, many of which have been internally converted into restaurants, boutiques and chic cafés. A peninsula surrounded by the sea, Valletta is home to a range of eateries along the peaceful waterfront promenade, offering delicious, authentic cuisine. Why not take in the views, enjoy some traditional rustic Maltese food and immerse yourself in this region's remarkable culture? Wander around the Upper Barrakka Gardens, one of Valletta’s most peaceful and scenic spots. Set high above the Grand Harbour, these beautifully kept gardens offer sweeping views across the Three Cities, with stone arches perfectly framing the water below. There's also the option to explore St John’s Co-Cathedral, a wonderfully preserved Roman Catholic church, with domed ceilings and gilded walls, enveloped with intricate detailing.
