Brighton, the Royal Pavillion & the South Downs

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to our hotel.

Today we travel to Brighton, where a coach transfer takes us to the iconic Royal Pavilion, a spectacular Regency palace built for King George IV. Wander through rooms adorned with gilded dragons and grand chandeliers, then relax in the beautiful surrounding gardens. The seafront is just a short stroll away, perfect for picking up a bite to eat or spending some time watching the waves roll in.

For our optional excursion, we make our way to Arundel, with its fascinating past and contemporary culture. Nestled around a fairytale castle, the pretty streets are full of cosy tearooms, art galleries and quirky antique shops. We then visit the small coastal town of Bognor Regis, where we can enjoy a walk along the promenade and all the traditional delights of a British seaside resort.

We enjoy a scenic drive through South Downs National Park, a landscape of natural beauty. See the Seven Sisters cliffs and the ancient South Downs Way, along with the park's wildlife, including rare butterflies, birds and wildflowers. The park holds a deep cultural history, with prehistoric hill forts and traditional farms. We then explore the cathedral city of Chichester and its fantastic 200-year-old market. This charming, compact city boasts some of the country’s oldest buildings and streets, including the cathedral church of the Holy Trinity.

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and board the coach for the journey home.
