Three Rivers Cruise - Rhine, Moselle & Main

Travel through the French-speaking Ardennes of Belgium and cross the border into Luxembourg. Spend some time exploring Luxembourg City at your own pace, with free time to wander its historic streets, admire the views from its dramatic Old Town and find lunch at leisure. Later, continue into France for our overnight stay in eastern France.

Strasbourg is our first taste of France. Spend the day exploring this characterful city at your own pace, perhaps wandering the picturesque lanes of the historic centre or finding a spot for lunch beside the canals. Later this afternoon, board our ship, the MS La Boheme, and settle in for the start of our river cruise. We sail this evening, cruising overnight towards Frankfurt.

Wake up in Frankfurt-am-Main, where historic streets and half-timbered buildings meet a skyline of modern towers. Known as ‘Mainhattan’, this lively city is home to one of Germany’s most important financial districts, as well as a charming Old Town. Enjoy the day at leisure, with the freedom to explore independently or join one of Croisi Europe’s optional excursions (at an extra cost). Choose from a guided tour or a panoramic city tour with an ascent of the Main Tower for views across the city. Later, return to the ship as we sail overnight towards Cochem.

Cruise along the Moselle towards Cochem, passing the river’s vineyard-clad slopes along the way. Arrive in Cochem with time to explore independently or join one of Croisi Europe’s optional excursions (at an extra cost). You could take a guided tour of Cochem Castle, perched above the town, or join a panoramic hike to see more of the surrounding scenery on foot.

We sail north along the Moselle towards Koblenz, where the river meets the Rhine. This afternoon, explore the town at leisure or join the onboard guest services team for a stroll through its historic streets. We’ll moor here overnight, giving you the chance to head back into town after dinner. For one of the best views across Koblenz and the rivers, take a ride on the cable car over the Rhine to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and enjoy the panorama from its grounds.

Today brings one of the most scenic stretches of the cruise. Sail down the Rhine from Koblenz to Rüdesheim, passing vineyard-covered hillsides, riverside villages and castles perched above the water. Look out for the famous Lorelei Rock, a steep slate cliff rising high above the Rhine and linked to the legend of a beautiful siren whose song lured sailors to their fate. Arrive in Rüdesheim in the early afternoon, with time to explore independently or choose one of Croisi Europe’s optional excursions (at an extra cost). Options include a tourist train journey with wine tasting and a visit to the Mechanical Music Cabinet museum, or a hike through the surrounding vineyards.

Cruise upriver to Mannheim, where our own coach meets us for an included visit to Heidelberg. Explore at your own pace or join our optional guided excursion to Heidelberg Castle, including the funicular ride up to the castle. Return to Mannheim for our final night on board, with a special gala evening and dinner before we sail overnight back towards Strasbourg.

Disembark in Strasbourg and meet our coach for the journey to Nancy. Spend some free time exploring this elegant French city, perhaps admiring the grand Place Stanislas or stopping for lunch at leisure. Later, continue to our overnight hotel in northern France.

 After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and head to Calais for our journey home on LeShuttle.
