We fly to Crete and transfer to the Minos Hotel, where we spend the next ten nights.

Step back thousands of years on today’s guided excursion to the legendary Palace of Knossos, the heart of the ancient Minoan civilisation and home to the myths of King Minos and the Minotaur. Explore the fascinating palace complex, once the centre of Minoan Crete, with its grand courtyards, colourful frescoes, ceremonial spaces and remains of the royal apartments. 

We then continue to Heraklion, Crete’s vibrant capital, where our guided walking tour reveals centuries of history, from the imposing Venetian walls and impressive Koules Fortress to lively squares, bustling shopping streets and the historic harbour. There’s time to take in the city at your own pace, perhaps browsing its shops or stopping at a traditional café.

These days are yours to enjoy however you choose. Unwind at the hotel, spend time on the nearby sandy beach or wander into Rethymnon's atmospheric old town with its picturesque harbour, Venetian architecture, welcoming tavernas and boutique shops. With your all-inclusive package included, it's easy to relax and make the most of your stay.

Today’s guided excursion takes us to beautiful Chania, one of Crete’s most captivating cities. Explore its enchanting Old Venetian Harbour, with its historic lighthouse, colourful waterfront buildings and bustling cafés, before wandering the maze of narrow streets where Venetian and Ottoman influences can be seen in the architecture, mosques and historic houses. There’s time to soak up the atmosphere and perhaps browse the local shops or enjoy a coffee by the harbour.

We continue to magnificent Souda Bay, one of the Mediterranean’s largest natural harbours, where dramatic mountain scenery meets the sparkling sea. Discover the area’s important wartime history with a visit to the Commonwealth War Cemetery, the final resting place of servicemen from across the Commonwealth who lost their lives in the Battle of Crete.

Enjoy two more days to experience Crete your way. Relax beside the pool, return to the beach or discover more of Rethymnon's cafés, markets and waterfront. If you're feeling adventurous, there are plenty of opportunities to explore further afield independently.

We check out of our hotel and transfer to the airport for our flight home.
