Itinerary

We fly to Cyprus and transfer to the Paphos Gardens Holiday Resort, where we spend the next ten nights.

Enjoy a welcome meeting this morning and perhaps book an optional excursion before spending the afternoon at leisure.

We're joined by a guide to discover the natural beauty, history and traditions of the Troodos Mountains on this full-day excursion. Travel through the picturesque mountain landscapes, fragrant pine forests and charming villages while exploring some of Cyprus' most iconic cultural landmarks. The highlight of the tour is a visit to Kykkos Monastery, the island's most famous and wealthiest monastery. Founded in the 11th century, this historic treasure is renowned for its magnificent mosaics, ornate frescoes and the revered icon of the Virgin Mary, traditionally believed to have been painted by St Luke. The excursion continues through the heart of the mountains to the traditional wine-producing village of Omodos, nestled in the foothills. Wander along the charming cobbled streets, browse local craft shops and visit the historic Monastery of the Holy Cross, located in the village square.

You'll find everything you need for a relaxing break both within the resort and around Paphos. At Paphos Gardens Holiday Resort, unwind by the outdoor pools, indulge in calming spa treatments or make use of the on-site gym. There’s plenty of space to stretch out, switch off and soak up the Mediterranean sun at your own pace, or you may like to venture out and explore Paphos at leisure. History lovers can wander the UNESCO-listed Archaeological Park, famed for its Roman mosaics and ancient ruins, while the nearby Tombs of the Kings offers another glimpse into Cyprus’s fascinating past. Nature enthusiasts can head to the Akamas Peninsula for rugged cliffs, sweeping views and rewarding coastal trails. For a gentle change of scene, the waterfront cafés, restaurants and shops of Paphos Harbour make an inviting spot to sip a drink, stroll the promenade and watch the Mediterranean sparkle.

Please note: for those who wish to explore the island further, a range of exciting optional excursions are available to book in the resort through the Just Go!-appointed representative. Subject to availability and minimum numbers.

Journey into the heart of rural Cyprus on this full-day guided tour through the charming hilltop villages of Droushia, Kathikas and Fyti in the Paphos district. We begin with a scenic drive into the picturesque hills of Paphos, where traditional stone-built villages and peaceful landscapes await. Our first stop is Droushia Village at the Information Centre of Akamas Rural Life and Traditions – Crafts Training Centre. Here, see artisans demonstrating handicrafts such as weaving on looms, embroideries with silk cocoons, painting on gourds and manufacturing flutes. While in the village, we can also visit the Akamas Avifauna and Flora Visitor Centre, a fascinating centre dedicated to the unique wildlife and plant life of Cyprus.

We continue to the wine-producing village of Kathikas, famous for its charming atmosphere, family-run wineries and colourful alleyways. Browse the local craft shops, visit a traditional café or sample regional wines and local delicacies before we head to Fyti, one of Cyprus’ most historic weaving villages. It's a lovely place to wander through quiet stone lanes, admire beautifully preserved traditional homes and discover the village’s rich cultural heritage, learning about the famous 'Fythkiotika' woven textiles, a craft passed down through generations.
