Day 1

From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to our hotel, arriving in time for dinner and the first of two nights’ stay.

 

Day 2

We start the day with the visit to the beautiful medieval city of Salisbury. Set in a quintessentially English landscape, this stunning city has a rich heritage with hundreds of buildings listed for their historical merit including the medieval cathedral which boasts the tallest spire in Britain. Explore the patchwork of streets which boast a picturesque jumble of architectural styles, ranging from medieval walls and half-timbered Tudor town houses to Georgian mansions and Victorian villas.

Our journey then takes us to the world-famous Stonehenge, an ancient site shrouded in mystery and the subject of many archaeological theories, surrounded by the gorgeous scenery of Salisbury Plain. Witness this renowned monument up-close and marvel at how these colossal stones, some weighting around 25 tons, could be placed in such a way in a time before modern conveniences. We enjoy plenty of time to explore this beautiful location before returning to the hotel for dinner.

 

Day 3

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and head to the beautiful city of Bath. The city has remained faithful to its Regency roots, with an abundance of elegant terraces, circuses and squares in a picturesque valley setting. The magnificent Royal Crescent is a must-see and the central square is home not only to Bath Abbey, but also the ancient Roman Baths. After enjoying some free time we continue our journey home.
