Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Newquay Holidays With An Eden Project Excursion

The Eden Project (full day)
Built into the Cornish countryside, the Eden Project is often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World. With thousands of species of plants to see both indoors and out and a wealth of activities taking place every day, there is always something new to set our eyes on. The aerial walkway affords lovely views over the Rainforest Biome, the largest rainforest in captivity.

Padstow & Charlestown (full day)
We first visit the charming port resort of Padstow. A famous foodie destination, the town is also renowned for its harbour from where you can enjoy some stunning views while indulging in a traditional Cornish pasty or two!

We continue on to Charlestown, an amazing unspoiled example of a late Georgian working port, constructed in response to the growth of the local mining industry. Other businesses were established including pilchard curing and ship building, with many attractive period properties built up in the village. Charlestown is a popular filming location with credits including the BBC’s hugely successful Poldark TV series and there are often square rigger ships in the harbour.

Optional Excursion
Penzance & St Ives – £12pp (full day)
On our optional excursion we head first to Penzance, nestled in a sheltered position in beautiful Mounts Bay. The town boasts an attractive seafront promenade and sub-tropical gardens.

Next is the Cornish holiday town of St Ives. Stroll along one of the sandy beaches, watch the fishermen launch their boats from the harbour, wander through the maze of cobbled streets admiring the pretty cottages or take in the artwork on display at the Cornwall branch of the Tate Gallery.
