Day 1

We fly to Belfast and are transferred to our hotel in the city centre, our base for the next three nights.

Day 2 – Game of Thrones Studio Tour & Belfast

This morning makes for one of the highlights of our break! We head to Banbridge to visit Linen Mill Studios, home to the much-anticipated Game of Thrones Studio Tour. This is the perfect chance for fans of George R.R Martin’s bestselling fantasy novels to take a peek behind the scenes and find out some of the secrets that helped bring the script to the screen. During our self-guided visit we take a closer look at everything from the costumes and sets to the props and incredible visual effects that helped create some of the most iconic moments in this phenomenal television series.

After our visit we head back to Belfast city centre for time at leisure to explore this thriving modern metropolis. Take the chance for a little retail therapy, visit a museum to find out more about the city’s role in the Industrial Revolution or why not head to Titanic Belfast? This fantastic exhibition is voted as one of the best visitor attractions in the capital and is an excellent way to find out more about the RMS Titanic including her construction, launch and, of course, her infamous maiden voyage.

Day 3 – Game of Thrones Filming Locations Tour & Giant’s Causeway

We set off for a scenic drive along the striking Antrim Coast road for our Game of Thrones filming locations tour. Driving past the quarry that provided the backdrop for Castle Black and The Wall, we make our way to our first stop; the seaside town of Carnlough (or the free city of Braavos to GOT fans). Be sure to grab a photo of the harbour steps where Arya Stark was attacked by The Waif! Other stops which make for some incredible photo opportunities include Cushendun, where we learn more about its on screen twin; the Stormlands. Portaneevy; the shoreline that served as the coast of Dorne in season five and Dark Hedges, a striking avenue of beech trees which provided the backdrop for a section of the Kingsroad.

Before heading back to Belfast we make a stop at the Giant’s Causeway. While it didn’t actually feature in Game of Thrones, a trip to Northern Ireland would not be complete without visiting this awe-inspiring National Trust-owned site. Take the chance to marvel at the enormous basalt columns that were produced by volcanic eruptions some sixty million years ago! Now a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural phenomenon is a must-see.

Day 4

We transfer to the airport for our return flight home.
